The group took a meeting to create their own collection containers and were charged with starting to collect loose "change" for the cause or causes of their choice!  The group decided, after much deliberation, that they wanted to start by helping some animal shelters.  We'll raise funds for animals for a few weeks and then move onto other causes.  Some of the group are working to collect for other causes that are meaningful to them.

Danielle is working to collect funds for Hope Children's Hospital - where her Aunt works and where she hopes to be a nurse or doctor some day.

After a little over two weeks of collecting coins the group raised over $200!  

Monika, Jessica and Samantha show off their group effort early on.  Mrs. Dulkoski's class helped the girls to raise over $48 in a little over a week's time!  Great job everyone!

Jacob and his friends and family helped to raise over $65 -- thank you Jacob!

Mia and Amber worked together alternating their collections and raised over $35 in a little over a week.  Thanks too to Christopher, Hailen, Miriam and Alamdar for adding to the collection!

Our group looks forward to welcoming a guest from a local animal shelter - West Suburban Humane Society, and hearing about their needs and presenting them with a check from their efforts.
