Kids4Good2 Closing Ceremony

The Kids4Good2 club ended the school year with a very moving ceremony in their newly created "Peace Garden".

The group dedicated the garden to Ms. Kelly as she prepares to retire from the District after over three decades of service.

Same Good Deeds.

Now powered by younger but equally enthusiastic little citizens.
2nd Grade Edition - Year Two

We're excited to announce that we'll be returning with a 2nd grade edition of our popular community service group at Mark DeLay School this year!

Dena Provenzano and a small group of dedicated parents will once again help to lead this group at Mark DeLay.
We'll have our new K4G2 group working on some of the same projects as the Kids4Good group at Lace School but they will take on stand alone projects as well.

We're looking forward to another year of good deeds and working with Mrs. Lantvit on helping to build our club at Mark DeLay.

Recruiting for Kids4Good2 will begin in late September.
It started with a Wave of Love...

Almost four years ago, Mark DeLay School was invited to participate in an initiative called Giving Games, which was being led by the Kids Make A Difference (KMAD) Group out of Fairview School at that time.

Through the collection and trade-in of hundreds of video games, the students in District 61 raised thousands of dollars for Tsunami relief efforts.  Mark DeLay and their Waves of Love effort raised the most!

Ms. Kelly and the staff and families of Mark DeLay have supported various Kids4Good initiatives in recent years.

Additionally, they have their own community service initiatives that are a tradition to them.  Their Annual Winter Hat and Mitten Drive that benefits Hinsdale Community Services is just one example of their commitment to good.

Special thanks to Ms. Maureen Kelly, the staff and families at Mark DeLay for supporting our Kids4Good group over the past few years and allowing us to expand to the students of Mark DeLay.

We will look forward to showcasing the Kids4Good2 efforts here in the near future.
