Kids4Good '08-'09
Our new year is officially underway. We had our kick-off meeting October 22nd.
Our membership has capped at 50!
We have many returning K4G kids from last year, nearly 70% and we're welcoming some new 3rd graders into our group this year. This is the first year to introduce grades other than 4th and 5th. We have our group of K4G Mentors, kids who have moved onto Eisenhower Junior High but have asked to volunteer their time to help out at our weekly meetings and stay involved with the group.
Our mentors for this school year are Shane McGann, Will Tischler, Daniel Arroyo, Maura Carr and Liam Fogarty.
We spent most of our meeting discussing what good deeds we'd like to perform this year as a group.
We decided that Hope4Haiti would be a main focus throughout our year and we'd add more projects along the way. Our first major undertaking as a group will be our Traditional Thanksgiving Food Drive.
We're hoping to match our goal of last year with 50 complete dinners to deliver. We know with our current economic situation, that this might be unrealistic.
