Silent Angels
Project
How do you top silencing 1,500 children?

You silence them one small group at a time.

Last year's inaugural SpeakOut4AS event silenced 1,500 students in Darien School District #61 but this year's event tested the true meaning of the event.

Our Silent Angels Project kicked off as part of the ongoing SpeakOut4AS series.

Our Kids4Good group met for a special session to observe silence and reflect on our friends with Angelman Syndrome.

For 20 minutes our Kids4Good group met in silence and assembled special Silent Angels as part of their second year of trying to raise awareness about Angelman Syndrome.

The angel ornaments that the group created will be part of the annual AS Gala, held in Chicago the first weekend of December.  Families and friends from across the country will gather this weekend to raise funds and awareness for this disorder.  The angels that our group created will be distributed to families and friends attending this year's Gala.

We want everyone to know that our group of committed students is going to continue to try to help raise awareness about our friend Ainsley's disorder, Angelman Syndrome.
